We’re not sure about you, but here at The Alder Home Team office, we are rather sick of the freezing cold weather and all of the indoor cooking.
Do you think that maybe if we get the grill out, Spring will come?
One way to shake off the Winter blues is to day-dream a bit about Spring plans. Days of family BBQ’s and friends gathering in the yard are soon upon us. Baseball with the kids, walking the dog in more of a stroll rather than a sprint. Iced Teas and Lemonade, grilled fish and fresh produce….
Here are some of our favorite “getting in the Spring of Things” recipes to help get the doldrums packed away.
One-Pan Salmon with Roast Asparagus: Fresh & Delicious. For an easy side dish to complement a spring roast, just cook this recipe without the salmon.
Spring Chicken in a Pot: Casseroles aren’t just for winter – this light, vibrant one-pot is packed with spring veg and herby pesto.
Spring Vegetable Tagliatelle with Lemon and Chive Sauce: Put some spring into your pasta, with this fresh yet simple supper idea. It’s on the table in under half an hour.
And please, lets not forget the all important desserts.
Dress up traditional pound cake with a little lime zest and a homemade Key lime glaze for a deliciously tropical dessert.
Luscious Lemon Bars
Classic lemon squares are always a popular dessert. As an added bonus, you can freeze for up to one month.
The year’s at the spring,
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hill-side’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
All’s right with the world!
And don’t forget, if you ever have any real estate questions or need any direction, we are always here to help.
